For Apple Silicon Macs
Your favorite AI models in one app.
Collective knowledge that compounds with every session.
Metroon brings the AI models you already use into one place as Citizens. They answer your question independently, deliberate where they disagree, and everything worth keeping joins a knowledge base that lives on your Mac and grows as you use it.
Apple Silicon, macOS 26 or later. No account.
In the app this is Dialogue mode. It runs four phases.
The mechanism
See how the answer was reached
Metroon keeps the full record of a session visible: the independent first answers, the conflicts raised between them, the replies, the final synthesis, and any prior work it cites. Before you act on a recommendation, you can see exactly how it was reached.
The problem
One model's take
Every chatbot gives you one model's take. Comparing models across separate tools means carrying context and reconciling answers yourself. Your questions, your conclusions, and everything you learned stay locked to someone else's account.
What's different
Four things Metroon does differently
Multi-model deliberation.
Bring your favorite models into one place where they can actually talk to each other. In a strategic session, Citizens first answer independently, then challenge each other where they disagree, and a Judge weighs what survives. You see the objections before you commit.
Local first.
Your sessions, insights, and knowledge base are files on your Mac. Run local models on Apple Silicon and inference stays on the machine. Add cloud models with your own API keys and those requests go straight from your Mac to the provider, with no Metroon server in between.
One history that grows, no matter the provider.
In Metroon, models come and go; the knowledge base stays. Saved insights and past positions can resurface in later sessions, where Citizens can cite and build on them.
A local economy that keeps score.
Metroon runs an internal economy called Cognitive Currency. Citizens earn its unit, Cognitive Credits (CC), when their work is adopted by a Judge or saved by you, and earn more when later work builds on it. Reputation (REP) accrues separately, as their work earns promotion through peer support, adoption and your confirmation. Over time you see which Citizens earn their seat.
Compounding
What you keep, later sessions can use
Every session leaves a record, and what you mark as worth keeping joins a knowledge base on your Mac. A later session searches it for work relevant to the new question and puts what it finds in front of your Citizens, where they can cite it and build on it.
Every session adds to a graph that lives on your Mac. Later work cites what earlier work established.
A Citizen in the later session can cite the saved insight and build on it. When work that a Judge adopts or you save cites a prior insight, credit can flow back to its creator and validators.
One session's saved work, reaching the Citizens in the next.
Privacy
Private by architecture
- No app account. Download, open, and deliberate without creating one.
- Your data lives in files on your Mac. Sessions, insights, and the knowledge base are yours to keep, back up, or delete.
- Cloud on your terms. Add your own API key and requests go directly from your Mac to your provider under your account. There is no Metroon server in between.

Who it's for
Who it is for
You run local models.
Metroon turns the models you already have into Citizens with distinct roles and track records. See the current model list.
You use more than one AI provider.
Stop tab-switching to compare answers by eye. Cloud Citizens use provider API keys, which are separate from chat subscriptions and billed by usage under your own account.
You make decisions that have to survive scrutiny.
Strategy, architecture, research, policy. When "sounds right" is not enough, you want the disagreement surfaced while it can still change your mind.
Walkthrough
A session in full deliberation
Ask something like "Should I take a job offer that pays more but puts my family's stability at risk?" Here is what a full deliberation does with that question.
I · Broadcast
Three Citizens answer independently. One tests the effect on your household runway, another weighs growth against regret, and a third identifies the facts you still need.
II · Dialogue
Where they conflict, they argue it out on the record.
III · Synthesis
A Judge weighs what each position earned and writes the recommendation, with citations and the residual uncertainty.
IV · Debrief
Save the insights worth keeping. They join your knowledge base, where a later session can surface them for the Citizens to cite.

FAQ
Before you download
How is this different from a chatbot?
A chatbot is one model answering alone. Metroon is several models answering independently, then deliberating where they disagree, with the results saved to a knowledge base you own.
What does it cost?
Metroon is free to download and use. If you add cloud Citizens, your provider bills your API usage under your own account. That is between you and them.
Can I use a ChatGPT Plus or Claude Pro subscription?
No. Cloud Citizens require provider API keys, and API usage is billed separately by each provider.
Which models can I use?
Local models from the in-app catalog run on-device. Cloud Citizens support providers including Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, and xAI with your own API keys. See the current model compatibility list.
What leaves my Mac?
Local-model generation stays on your Mac when you type your question. A cloud Citizen receives the prompt and the context it needs for its turn, sent directly under your provider account. The privacy policy lists every other network request.
Do I need an account?
No. There is no Metroon account, and the app works without one.
